And here it is … a NEW video
A lot of you guys asked us to upload any progress of Frano so here it is… FUNNY ONE
It was recorded specially on Frano’s wish – he was in the mood for doing something really funny so this is why you are watching the video right now
For those who don’t know us personally, the music itself for us (and specially for Frano) means great joy & love. We believe there is no room for pushing the kid above limits, and we also believe you will agree with our way. Shortly from this moment, Frano will have his first concert at Music academy in Rijeka (9.6.2010, 18:00h), where he will play Fernardo Carulli, Scott Joplin, Van Beethoven, Fernardo Sor & some other stuff…
From now on, we will upload the progress mostly as private videos – write us at zivkovichi@gmail.com if you want to be informed. And now.. the ThAnKs.. Thank you Tommy, for being such great influence and specially for sharing your time with Frano! Big thanks goes also to grandpa Zarko Zivkovic, for so many love & great tips! And to Lars de Rijck & his family: WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN IN CROATIA! Love you guys – be here fast! Finally, big thanks to Domagoj Paukovic for great work!

Flamenco Guitar Master Vicente Gomez
This 1950s video features composer, guitarist Vicente Gomez performing some of his Alegrias composition. For those unfamiliar with Gomez, he was born in Madrid in 1911 and got an early start in music performing flamenco in his father’s red light district tavern by the age of 8. Concert pianist Arthur Rubenstein eventually heard him play (presumably not while frequenting Madrid’s red light district!) and encouraged him to pursue a professional career. He toured the world performing in the 1930s and became a US citizen in the 1940s. He was drafted into the Army in 1943 and discharged in 1946, after which he opened a nightclub in New York, performing classical and flamenco music on his guitar nightly. During this period he also served as President of the New York Classical Guitar Society. In the 1950s he moved to Los Angeles and opened “The Academy of Spanish Arts” to teach classical and flamenco guitar, flamenco dancing, Spanish language, etc. He was also a frequent contributor to film music. Vicente Gomez passed away in December 2001 at the age of 90, just two months after his wife passed away.
