Should I start taking professional guitar lessons even though I’ve been playing for a couple months?

I’ve basically learned how to play from my friend for like less than a month. I don’t know scales, chords, etc. I can already play songs like Enter Sandman and Seek and Destroy (no solo) pretty easily with tabs and Youtube videos. I really feel like chords and scales are a necessity.
Should I start taking guitar lessons from a teacher even though I’ve been playing for a couple months?
Would the lessons still be as effective even though compared to someone thats never touched a guitar?
Please anyone who went through the same thing or any experienced players help me.
